Ostara 2022
I love Spring!!!!!! Spring Equinox/Ostara(March 20-23) has always felt exciting to me.
It could be because I am an April baby!
At Spring Equinox, we celebrate great balance and harmony, its where the Nights and Days are of equal length, we begin to awaken from the restful darkness that Winter gifts us. Not to sound dreary, Winter is necessary and during that time of rest, the Earth heals and prepares for Spring. Now, we get to feel the warmth of the sun longer, wildflowers blossom, we begin work in our gardens, we come alive and it feels new.
A Rebirth if you will.
I want to share a few personal ways I celebrate Ostara:
I try to honor transitions of any kind by reflecting and writing a gratitude list. You can reflect through meditation, journaling, or nature walks, however you sit with yourself is great. I’ll think about what new challenges I was presented with, how I overcame, or what I need to do to overcome, what did the stillness of Winter teach me, what seeds do I want to plant literally and metaphysically for Spring. Through this you will also find what and whom you’re grateful for.
This year, I want to invite you to make a dedicated altar to honor Spring and to hold space for yourself over the next 5 days.
Ritual
Start with cleansing your aura and your space.
Burn Sage or Incense in your sacred space. While burning the Sage or Incense, move around your space and say aloud or to yourself, “Thank you Sage Spirit for your offering and for banishing negative energies from my space and my auric field”
Really connect to Burning the Sage and what you're saying and doing. This will help you connect to your higher self and get into a meditative headspace.
Time to make a dedicated Spring Altar!
Decorate your altar with offerings like flowers, herbs and fruit. Usually tulips, basil, oranges and strawberries. Place whatever you desire that symbolizes the Spring season to you! This should be fun :)
Manifest
I want you to place anything you want to grow-emotionally, spiritually-on this altar. You can plant herbal seeds to symbolize what you want to grow and actually watch them flourish ! You can also use crystals, candles, photos, etc, to represent what it is that you are manifesting and will remind you of your intention .
While you do that continue to check in with yourself and make sure your intentions are pure and aligned.
Visualize
Take a piece of paper and cut 5 strips. On each strip, write or draw anything you want to create in your life
It can be abstract, symbolic, or realistic. Don’t worry if you are not the best drawer, the idea is to just get creative and to allow your expression to flow. You can anoint the paper with essential oils to amplify your intention if you wish.
Fold them and place them in a bowl on your Spring Altar.
Each day for 5 days, pick one, read it and spend a little time at your Spring Altar visualizing your co-creation with your beautiful Spring Altar!
“I manifest all with ease.”
Your Spring Altar should make you feel inspired, joyful and high vibrating! Believe in your intentions, give them to your Altar, Put your energy into them and let it all go when you’re not at your Altar.
Happy Spring everyone!!!!
I would love to see your Spring Altar, tag me if you share!
Much love, xo
