Drifting into Dreamland
Drifting into Dreamland could be the title of my music record!
(I don’t make music-but a fun thought!)
I love DREAMING! I love talking about my dreams, my friends dreams, reading about dreams, and crystals that help with dreams. I use dream work to help find solutions in my waking life, or in healing past events, they also inspire me and influence my creativity.
By recording my dreams in my journal, I've found recurring dreams and patterns, which has been helpful to problem solving in my waking life.
(Please look up Carl Jung- Jungian Archetypes)
Dreams are the way our mind tries to sort out information while we’re asleep. Some dreams could be messages from other realms, or past lives too.
“Dreams are today’s answers to tomorrow's questions”
-Edgar Cayce
You can also learn how to lucid dream and then just go on fun trips while you’re sleeping- but I’m getting ahead of myself!
This is a basic ritual on dream recall.
Whichever way you want to work with your dreams, I’m going to give you some tips on how to remember your dreams, what to look for and crystals that help with dreamwork .
You can start this at any time but why not start training your mind with this New Moon in Pisces
Pisces, a water sign, a dreamy sign by nature, rules our emotions, imagination, creativity and New Moons are great for planting new seeds which makes this an extra powerful time to kickstart connection with your subconscious.
Set the intention, Dedicate a journal to your dreams, Leave your Dream Journal or Paper/Pen on your bedside table, immediately write your dreams down when you wake up
Intention: Say every night right before bed, this is can be altered to your needs. Whether you just want fun, colorful dreams or Perhaps you’re looking for answers to a problem, just be sure to add at the end of your intention “ I remember my dreams, I write them down, I remember my dreams, thank you thank you thank you”
Stick with the same intention for the next 14 days!
Example: If I need guidance to a particular problem, I will say “ Please help me see my path in life clearly, I remember my dreams, I write them down, I remember my dreams, thank you thank you thank you”
Write down your dream as soon as you wake up. Even the ones that scare you! You're safe, it was just a dream-just write it down! Do this for at least 14 days, then look at your dreams and see what they have in common. Start to note the pattern, connect the similarities and Pay attention to how you felt in the dream(write it down!), note color, shapes, recurring people and note who these people are in your waking life, what you like/dislike about them, how they make you feel.
That's why it's important to keep your journal at your bedside. Even if you only remember certain words and cant get it all out, if you go back to it a little later and look at those words, they will trigger a new memory of the dream.
You may only remember a few words the first few nights- It’s okay if you can’t get it all down, it’s about consistency- you’re building muscle memory, soon your dreams will be vivid and unforgettable!
